3 monitors with two different res on ATI card.

Thread Starter
I just plugged in three new Acer G235H 23 inch monitors to my ATI 5570 with eyefinity. I got all of them working as a group. But everything is all stretched out left to right and kind of big. I'm not looking to game with this. Just general business stuff. I tried decreasing the res. But that made it worse.

EDIT - I bagged on the eyefinity. I am just doing extended desktop as this is for business use only. But:

I have 1920x1080 on two of them. And then the one on the display port with active adapter only goes to 1440x900. Tried unplugging the other two monitors and got the one up to 1920x1080. But as soon as I plugged the other two in or rebooted (tried both) the one monitor went back to 1440x900.

Any ideas? Other than upgrading to a Flex card?

Yea they can't be different resolutions. if you must have eyefinity mode then get the same screens, otherwise run them in extended mode if you can.

Please reread my new title. They are all the same res now. But all three are one big stretched out screen. Here is a pic.

When I had eyefinity, I found that having my monitors in portrait mode was much more enjoyable, rather than having them in landscape and having to turn my head every time I wanted to look at something on either of the two side monitors.

EDIT: Eyefinity is supposed to be one big stretched out out screen.

OP yea they match to a common resolution. So they will always be streched UNLESS you run extended mode.

It's supposed to be a stretched out screen and your supposed to set the resolution to 5000x1000 or whatever the exact numbers are. You cant have 3 separate resolutions with eyefinity. You can however have 3 separate resolutions OUTSIDE of eyefinity.

If I am wrong then -25 internets

You don't want to enable Eyefinity if you're doing it for buisness. Just right click on your desktop once it's disabled, click screen res., and go from there

I think the OP might be running the wrong resolution. The pic he posted looks perfectly fine to me.

@OP: What resolution are you running?
