[EBA] The Witcher 2 Announced for Xbox 360 - Page 4

cant help but laugh at everyone screaming its a pc port.

its all you can do, laugh at em. Not like they really understand anything on the subject.

The combat actually takes more button presses and work than the original, but it was somehow designed with consoles in mind?

The inventory screen is all 1 page and easy to view everything you need, unlike something like Oblivion where you have a dozen pages that would easily have fit on 1 screen.

Graphics, well lets not go there.

I'm not saying the game is perfect, it has its little niggles, but i can honestly say its the best game to come out in many years, bugs and all. Console gamers dont deserve a game like this, they deserve their fables, and asscreeds, but cd projekt knows they only way to show people the light is to deliver it to the dirty peasants.

Being a little harsh on console users aren't we?

I am now waiting for another "Xbox Sex box" story from those idiots at Fox News.

I lol at you. You miss they rhythm attacks of the first and cannot figure out how to setup your own rhythm in the second, Therefore it's a port. Okay.
LOL, what are you even babbling about? Do you even have a point? When did I ever say this was a console port?

But you can't see crafting materials before you buy a recipe unless you wait like 15 seconds. Not really great menu design when you can't scroll down with a mouse cursor.

TW 2 doesn't have dx 11. It's a dx 9 title. More proof that these people were developing this with the consoles in mind.

http://www.techspot.com/review/405-t...2-performance/

infact, this probably performs much more efficiently on consoles.

Don't make me laugh. There is no console game out there that could rival W2's graphics, not even close.

That's not what i'm saying, fable 3 apparently looks much better on PC but that doesn't mean it was made for consoles the ported to PC. Why would a company code a game like witcher 2 in Dx 9? Isn't Dx 11 supposed to be more efficient and more powerful. The main reason i can think of is that they made this with consoles in mind, not PC.

Let's face it economically speaking any company would make a game like witcher 2 optimized for consoles. That's where the money is.

You are ignoring the fact that not everyone has a DX11 card? The developers only had a $10 million budget to work with and more than likely supporting DX9 & DX11 would've compromised the quality of the game. Everyone has a DX9 compatible card, so going with DX9 only is the logical choice.

....Have you actually played this game and seen it in action? I mean... this game is beautiful. It has visuals that trump any game that I have ever laid my eyes on... and is... DX9!

This proves the worthlessness of DX10 and 11. Sure they have a few little graphical tricks that DX9 isn't capable of, but this game proves that 99.9% of developers are DOING IT WRONG.
