yes, a 570 OC'd can still do PhysX processing. But it's still some-what taxing on Mafia 2( Not Arkham Asylum if you play at around 8x anti-aliasing)

I heard Arkham City Physx will need some juice, best to get a used gts 450 sometime down the road if necessary.

I say keep it, if you play games that support physix. After all, this... is... OCN!!!

sell and save for a 3rd 570

i have had a 285gtx as a physx card only and in 3dmark11 i got worse scores then with my 560 by itself.

Physx is great but there isn't alot out that right now thats worth keeping it for.

i max out BFBC2, Metro2033 & BLKOPS @ 1280x720 (i think im at work atm) and i use high detail in everything the highest AA and textures etc..

Far from the truth, there are very notable differences in quite a few titles. The good part is that you don't need a dedicated card to take advantage of it.

Oh, you're right. Odd that some cards are replacement only while some can be returned for a refund.

First, I do not think you really have a choice because when the 2nd GTX570 sits in the second (white) PCIex16 slot, its dual slot width will occupy the next (black) slot, making it impossible for you to use that slot at all. See the 2 green rectangles in pic 1 below.

Secondly, I advise you not to use the 3rd PCIex16 slot (black) for your 2nd GTX570. This is because the 2 cards will then run at x16/x4 speed. This will have noticeable negative impact on the SLI performance. See pic 2 below showing page 23 of the User Manual.
Instead, use the blue and white slots (as in pic 1) to achieve a much better x8/x8 speed. IMHO, it is much easier to deal with the resulting thermal issue than to accept the x16/x4 speed.

To handle the two GTX570s sitting next to each other with no empty slot in between, it is not a very hard job because your Rosewill Thor is a very good air cooling case.
--If both your GTX570s are Nvidia reference cooling (ie 'front centrifugal fan intake + rear exhaust'), then it should be fairly straight forward.
--If the two GTX570s are of internal heat dumping design, it will be more tricky.

Lastly, a GTX560 Ti as Physx card will surely help out a pair of GTX570s. Brettjv has recently studied a 'lowly' 8800GT as Physx card helping a pair of oc'ed GTX470s (~GTX570s). There is a 'significant' gain in framerate in Batman AA.
