I switched my main computer to Avast from MSE the other day. I also have Malwarebytes on their as well. On my other computers I use MSE.

I used to use Kaspersky Internet Security, which I personally think is the best but it's not free.

recently upgraded from MSE + MBAM to Kaspersky Pure. I never really had any problems with that combo except one deadly virus that managed to nuke past both on my laptop. Kaspersky Pure does have alot of useful features, though. It seems to give off less false alarms as well on certain unmentionables.

MSE here. Works like a charm and isn't bloated. Nice not having to pay for anti-virus.

I use Avast, mostly I keep it on there just because I'm interested in security lol and want to know what works. For serious security, I have a hardware firewall and use Comodo as my software firewall and intrustion protection service. Haven't gotten a virus since I was about 9 though, so...

MSE

Haven't had a virus warning in years, but MSE is lightweight enough that i don't mind it running.

RKill just kills processes, imports a Registry file that removes incorrect file associations, removes and backs up proxy settings, and fixes policies that you from using certain malware removal tools. Since RKill only terminates processes, after running it when you reboot your computer as any malware processes that are set to start automatically, will just startup again. If you think it remove malware then your misinformed.

Well he did say that it "helps" him remove the viruses, not that it does it alone.
