New multi purpose headphone setup

Ok, so I want to get some headphones that will be used primarily for gaming and some music (figure 70/30 gaming). But here is the kicker. I will be switching it (eventually) between PC and console gaming, and receiver for music. Good bass is a must with me (I have some hearing loss, so its hard for me to pick up footsteps and whatnot during FPS sessions). Here is what I've been thinking:

A700 or A900 (input if the extra money is worth it please!)
DT 770-Pro
D2000

I considered some HD595, but from what I've read, the bass isn't that great. I will be getting my hands on a Asus Xonar STX for my PC (eventually). And here is where I need some more help/input too. One of these headsets + Astro MixAmp + cheapo mic? Think I've read of several people doing this for console gaming. Does it work well? I plan on plugging the cans into my receiver for music.

My Tritton AX Pro's and G930s get the job done. But could sound a little bit better imo. Plus one issue I have, is my glasses not sitting right when I have the heatsets on.

Also, in terms of budget. I would prefer to keep the cans under $200 if possible. But I am open minded.

Again, big thing for me. I need cans that work well with glasses!

Might I recommend this mic

Most here recommend the Zalman clip-on mic and while I can't speak for the quality I can say having the mic away from me and routing the cable behind the desk away from my headphone wires was fantastic. As well I haven't gotten any complaints from people listening to the mic so that must be good. If you can find the clip mic for <5 I'd say go for it and I've seen them at that price.

Just to clarify. The A900s are not an improvement for gaming over the A700s.

They're actually an improvement in isolation and bass, but not soundstage. So unless isolation is very important to you or you value that extra bass, the A900s aren't the ones you want for an upgrade. AD900s might be more of an improvement though.

DT770s are probably your safest bet. D2000s don't have the sound stage for gaming really.

Went with the A900s. Seemed like the best bang for my buck imo. Like I said, I am looking for bass so. Also pulled the trigger on a Xonar STX. Can anyone tell me if it will be worthwhile to use an astro mixamp to hook these bad boys up with a mic to my 360? Or is there a better alternative? Or should u jyst stick with my Trittons when gaming with friends?
