Thats nothing compared to this MSI board I had. I had the vcore set @ 1.55 in bios, and in Windows with or w/o load, it was only 1.42 Vcore :/

My msi board has surprisingly good vdroop.

there's an option to turn it to extremely low. I end up getting higher voltages than I set in my bios under extreme loads to ensure OC stability.

I just want to input some knowledge about the voltage and clocking.

@OP

That's a good start and excellent priming results but after a nice primer, you may find that even though stock voltage nets you 3.7Ghz stable, you may need jumps as you move on. As an example:

@ 3.8 it might take 1.4
@ 3.9 it might then take 1.48~
@ 4.0 it might even then take 1.52~+

But early results like yours are very rewarding as is. It's just that sometimes getting another 100Mhz out of a chip requires dubious amounts of voltage for it to become stable.

Happy Clocking!

Nice CPU you have there. My 1055T with 2 locked cores does 3.85ghz at 1.337v, wish I had bought a board that doesnt bug out at 276 FSB

Nice, and with stock cooling no less. Seems it never even went above 58c, but I'd throw at least a Hyper212+ on that chip.

Good job.

i forgot to change it in my signature, but im using a xigmatek s1283, i could get up to 3.8 with decent load temps though on stock

i think this chip has a nice future ahead lol
