Okay to put a 3-pin fan into a 4-pin header? (3-pin AP-15's) - Page 2

If I wanted to try to plug it just into the mobo... is there a way to know for sure if my pump/fans are running properly at its rated speeds?

It should report, the pump is best right into the PSU because it needs to always be at 100% and makes no noise so there is no reason to turn it down, 3pin fan speeds aren't very reliable you can change them and watch the temps though.

I am unsure if I have enough molex splitters/connectors for the 3-pin pump to work. I will try to see if I can substitute... maybe use the pump to PSU & the two fans on the 3-pins mobo?

That's what I would recommend, the pump can go into the mobo just make sure you disable any automatic speed adjust options and don't change it via Speedfan or anything.

Plug the pump into PWR_FAN that way you can see the speed but it will still run maxed.
