ASRock P67 Extreme4 Overclock Suggestions?

Thread Starter
I recently gave in and just ordered my most expensive which list, which uses the Intel Core i5-2500k and the ASRock P67 Extreme4 mobo. I want to know (from anyone who has used this board, obviously) how I'd be able to make my CPU hit 4.5ghz easily? I'll be using the Hyper 212+ cooler in a push / pull configuration.

I'll get my stuff in next week but I just wanted to ask now so I can get an idea of what to do.

What exactly do you mean? You can make it hit whatever overclock your cooling allows for, which may or may not be 4.5 GHz. Did you need instructions on how to overclock your CPU? Like, where to begin? Or did you just want to know what to do to the rest of your parts to make it possible? You need to be just a little more clear.

Sometimes I wonder if people make accounts to ask stupid questions ??? Did you even look at the other 20 or more post on this same subject no... I think you should go read them

I'd rather just have my own thread so that I can ask my own questions just in case. No need to get fired up there.

I know how to overclock it and stuff, I just want to make sure I do everything right the first time since I've heard that different motherboards can produce different OC results. From my knowledge, I just increase the multiplier right? And maybe raise the voltage core a little bit? Are there any settings on this particular board that I should consider changing?

The reason why I'm asking this is because most of the threads I see on here are for ASUS, MSI, or Gigabyte motherboards. I hardly see ASRock threads, and if they are there then sorry for not taking the time to use the search feature.

Welcome to overclock.net

Nice combo you have there and a 4.5ghz is an easy target to achieve.

This will help you
