I agree people have a point about the graphics, they are far from cutting edge, but I knew that based on the various trailers released months ago. I found the AI to be very much like the original game, fairly stupid. How smart should a mutated LA Police Officer be? The weapons were cool, but I don't like the 2 weapon limit. I'm pretty sure Duke's line about the crowbar was an homage to Valve/Gordon Freemen.

Based on the Demo, I think I will at least enjoy the singleplayer campaign.
Yea and it was epic

I thought it was a pretty big disappointment. Then again, it wasn't meant to be a deep game. It might be worth a rent on a console or something, but there's no way I'm buying it.

Basically the jokes weren't all that funny, it was incredibly immature (yet for some reason that means it's for "mature audiences") and that first boss fight was awful. Just keep shooting the eyes and walking around, but it takes like 5 full ammo resupplies to kill the darn thing. Got really boring really fast.

I don't think this is the type of game that ages well, and for you people talking about people not being used to the "classic" shooters, maybe it's just your nostalgia kicking in rather than our inability to appreciate such a letdown.

Duke is immature. That's the point. Also, the boss fight was not unlike the very same boss fight in Duke 3D. Basically, that type of gameplay must not be for you. Me, I'm glad because I just want to shoot something.

I played the demo in eyefinity perfectly fine. It ran very well too.

The demo is only available for First Access Club members (had to preorder the game or buy Borderlands GOTY).

I might also add a Steam preorder does not give you demo access.

I might give this game a shot.

I Just got off playing the demo. I agree, they probably could have picked a better spot to show us. That boss fight was straight up lame.

But, i am hopeful that the rest of it will be better.

I haven't been able to redeem my FAC code due to technical difficulties, so I watched some footage on Youtube.

It really looks like the gameplay hasn't aged very well. It looks like classic Duke 3D, but... I don't know... the hit detection appears to be a bit off, there is excessive blurring in distant objects, and there doesn't appear to be much impact when shooting enemies. It seems a bit off.

I'm still keeping my pre-order, but I am going to keep my expectations low. Should still be a fun game regardless, though!

Played the demo, I personally love the game. The graphics are great and I don't see any slowdowns at all. I don't know why anyone is hating on this game...
