SO my current rig might be sold pretty soon.
So what would be an upgrade?

Should i just sell my gfx card and get a GTX 580? keep everything else and maybe water cool?

or should i go to 1155 chipset? maybe get a asus IV extreme Z68 board??

what should i do!?!?! I cant decide

Don't side grade from your current setup to an 1155 wait for the next enthusiast platform x79 socket 2011, which is 6-8 months away

You will be kicking yourself if you go to 1155 from your curret setup

I think that you 5870 can still preform good and an upgrade will not be needed. i suggest you wait half a year for the new intel and AMD platform's to come out and then think about it.
