Suggestions for a Bluetooth headset? Uhh, please?

Possibly my first post to this forum. Hope I am in the right place. It seems like a popular forum!

I just received a $50 amazon gift card (wuhoo) and I think I decided I want to try my hand yet again at a bluetooth headset. I've been reading some reviews on amazon for a little while now but I figured you all would know as well or better than anybody.

Extra details in case they come up:

  • This headset would be used with an HTC Droid Incredible
  • Pretty much exlcusively used in my car which seems to have a relatively loud ambient noise factor (it's a '96, I deal)
  • I do not have a beard or where glasses
  • If the price didn't exceed $70/$80 that would ideal
  • I've been buying a new pair ~$5 head phones every couple months up until now (since they seem to break irregardless of how much they cost anyway) so my standards for sound quality in music and non-phone call applications are not very high
  • The kind of head set that requires some how sticking in the ear hole do not work for me. The ones in other words.

Here are the most important factors:
  • Must be able to stay consistently connected to my phone
  • Must be legal to where whilst driving in the car in California
  • Must be able to hear the caller and caller hear me

Bonus stuff that would be nice but perhaps not required:
  • Covers both ears, supports playing stereo music whilst not on calls
  • Long battery life
  • Can be worn while wearing a bicycle helmet
  • I work in a noisy data center and being able to listen to music AND answer the phone wirelessly while the phone sits idle and charges would be REALLY nice!!
  • If it could also be paired with my PC for audio and voice chatting this would also be cool.

I was leaning toward something like the but I don't want to get pulled over for wearing something like that.

The seems to fill the bill and the left/right are apparently separated so I could wear just one while driving (right?).

Actually the looks pretty cool since it comes with a dongle. Then i could use my ancient MP3 player with it as well. Hmmmm...

The last time I really tried to get into headsets like this was around 2007/2008. I ditched my moto razr (insert laughter) for a blackberry (overpriced!). My headset at the time worked super-fantastic-wonderful on the razr but horrible on the blackberry. So apparently otherwise good headsets can vary in quality from one phone to another (unless this has changed?).

What I'm trying to say is if anybody who also has an Incredible can comment on what works really well on that specific phone I would appreciate it...

Any other suggestions? Anything I should watch out for or avoid about the ones mentioned above?

I'm really close to making a decision. Would have been nice to get some opinions or at least have some idea why no one is replying... Guess I'll post this some place else...
