Slightly bending the bracket on the back of the card will not affect or 'break' the card in any way. I have done this many times when the rear slots do not line up and so have many other OCN members. Five seconds of effort = problem solved. When you put the card in another case that lines up, 5 more seconds of effort to bend the bracket back...
Or I guess you could go with the alternative: initiate RMA, tear down system, package up case, ship the case, wait for CM to receive, wait for CM to process RMA, wait for replacement case to be shipped to you, reassemble system...
Do whatever makes sense to you.
