Questions on vdrop and vdroop

Thread Starter
Are these based on the motherboard, or are there any settings that can adjust/help them?

My system is stable, but I find myself forced to use LLC.

With LLC disabled:
My vdrop is .05, and my vdroop is .054... So even setting bios vcore to 1.4, I find my vcore dropping to 1.296...

But with LLC enabled the vrop decreases to .031, and vdroop diminishes.

Some mobos, like mine and most Asus models, have adjustable LLC settings, which precisely control the vdrop.
If your mobo has only Enabled/Disabled, then there is no way to fine-tune them.

BUT that is actually better in some cases, because Asus' LLC causes heavy voltage fluctuations.

Yeah I mean without LLC you have to run higher voltages to account for the IR drop between the supply and the circuit in the chip, so yes you'll nneed more vcore to compensate for it.

Really you're setting your vcore when loaded for stability, then if you want to use LLC your vcore setting will be roughly the same, maybe a little higher, without LLC you have to calibrate and work out what your unloaded vcore needs to be.
