Another reason not to buy razer - Page 11

Maybe I'm a bit late to the party, but if razed wanted European prices in China no one would buy razor products there.

The average persons buying power is much lower there. It's also a reason why people in China like to sell products on eBay. Buy cheap, sell high, but still a lot lower then euro prices.

I might also add in that im extremly happy with my razor black widow, but razor mice have always failed on me unfortunatly.

What you said is not true. Logitech and Microsoft both selling similar prices as in USA. Check out Logitech mouse and Microsoft keyboard, all have around the same or even higher price in China. Check out Nike, Nike in China is much higher price than USA.

Yes many many people in China are still earning like $200 to $400 US dollars per month, but there are like 10%, 5% of all Chinese in China earning so much money, this group of people can pay whatever cost for good quality. 10% of Chinese are a lot of people.

Check out how much $ is a cup of starbucks in China, same as USA, and many people in starbucks in China. Many people in China willing to pay $ for good quality.

Check out all luxury shops, full of Chinese, no western people in China area. All cost more than European price.

In China, many people think western people are poor and have no jobs, I am not kidding.

China's government controls the economy there. I don't think Razer is necessarily to blame.
Then why Logitech and Microsoft can sell mouse and keyboard with almost same price in China?

Answer is simple:

Chinese believes Logitech and Microsoft have good quality so even with US price then they would still buy it.

Razer has poor quality, Chinese would only buy with cheaper price in China. Razer rather has the plan to "sell cheap but sell many more" in China.

2. Many corporations don't even want to come to China for fear of knockoffs. Can't find a Hyper 212+ in China? Because some company made a knockoff. As far as I know, there are no sales of EVGA products in China at all. No matter how hard I've searched, I have yet to find a vendor selling a legit EVGA product. The ones you find online are not the real thing.

And for those saying cost of living, that has absolutely nothing to do with it. In any case, more and more people have higher incomes, so the cost of living is essentially moot.

On topic: I have the Razer Abyssus (bought in China), and it's perfectly fine, except it attracts grime like no other. But nothing a cloth or tissue paper can't fix.
There are two kinds of shops in Taobao:

1. random people can sell in normal Taobao
2. Approved big shops to sell in "Taobao business city"

"Taobao business city" normally has higher price but all products are real.

Here is the link
http://www.tmall.com

These shops cannot lose the reputation and got kicked out of Taobao business city then would not have that high traffic to buy from them. The chance to have fake stuff is very small.

Real Razer in China is so cheap in China anyway, there are fake stuff but very rarely.

All razers I talked about in China are from big shop in tao bao business city, so basically all are real with big sales volume.

Yes I do know what the mall is. I've been here for 7 years. I don't buy any computer hardware on Taobao because I prefer talking to vendors about merchandise and actually seeing it in person, regardless if I'm paying a lower or higher price than online.

And real Razer still isn't that cheap. I still have to pay 750 RMB for the BlackWidow Ultimate in person. Although my Abyssus was abnormally cheap and still performs well, so far it's the only brand that I can find that you can buy for cheaper than overseas. Although that's the whole point of this topic.

i do not know about prices... but as far as i am conserned they are built tough.... i do not know how many times i have raged on my keyboard and it stilll works perfectly... now saying this in my luck i sell it and the buyer says it does not work as it breaks in postage........ but i am supper happy... my old mouse my little one got hold of it and she did lots of things that i would not do with it and it still works... that is my spare one now but there is nothing wrong with it at all. but yeah ..... i am supper happy with my razer stuff and price for performance isnot bad at all. logitech give nice flash stuff and looks ... i am not bothered about looks... it must just be supper fast and comfy in my hand

This is flame bait, it needs to be closed. Can't belive it went 10 pages.

If you don't like Razer, don't buy from them.

But i love my deathadder. Nice mouse in my opinion.

Very nice when you only need to pay 20% of the price in USA.
