R.A.T.9 battery issue

Thread Starter
Hi every1,

I got the rat9 mouse 6months ago, it had some issues of wich i thought it was my pc or mouse pad. I got myself some upgrades (new graphic card, enc..) and the cyborg saitek mouse pad with 2 sides (speed and precision).

Some of the rat9 problems got fixed, others did not. I already send 3 mails regarding this problem to different MadCatz/Cyborg techsupports. No responds so far.

THE PROBLEM confused.gif: Well it's rather weird, from time to time the mouse speeds drops to very low dpi and gets euhm.. choppy. Also the buttons and scroll arn't working every time. I reïnstalled the drivers and stuff and the problem seemed fixed for a while but it isn't. I was looking at the mouse software and i see that when i have this issue the battery shows some percent (90%, 50%) and after 1sec it shows the battery with a red cross over it, what I think meeens no battery connected.frown.gif The battery is connected doh 'cause i can still use the mouse, but not correctly.mad.gif

I tried the other battery, it gives the same problems. It happends on random moments, mostly when i'm playing for some time.

I'm desperate in need of help. Thanks to any1 that responds! redface.gif;)

Try clean the laser. My RAT 9 start doing that last week, and I inspected the laser, and it was with dust. After a good clean it worked fine again.

I have a problem with the battery. I can't get the battery out of the mouse by hand, I have to use pliers. Is that normal?

no tongue.gif to make it easier, remove the palm rest first before pulling the battery.

Have you tried the online live chat or phone support? The guys/gals on live chat have been EXTREMELY helpful with my crap madcatz headset, sending me replacement parts out of warranty without even asking for a receipt for purchase.
