Trifire 5970+5870 Can my PSU afford it? Does it worth it?

Thread Starter
Hi!

I'm an XFX 5970 owner, I was thinking to add a Sapphire Vapor-X 5870 (Reference) to the configuration.
I have a XFX Black Edition 850W PSU
Specs:

I'll have to OC my 5970 to the 5870 clocks.....

Will the PSU have enough power to handle all this?

Right now... i have a
Phenom II C3 @ Stock
8 GB Supertalent performance CL8 @ 1600 MHz
2 WD Blue 640 GB 7200 RPM
Asus Crosshair III Formula
7 120 mm coolers
1 230 mm cooler
5970 Black Edition

My other question is... I'm only using one display for now... Will I feel the difference with the trifire?
If my PSU can afford both cards I was thinking to add two more screens.

Possibly, but you will probably damage something stressing everything at once with linx and furmark. meaning the most you can do is boot up without risking your hardware.

The one thing on your side is your cpu doesn't draw a lot of power, but you will be on the upper end.

The XFX 850 is a really nice power supply so it SHOULD be able to handle the cards. I wouldn't recommend stressing it for extended amounts of time.
