Best P67 board - Page 3

#20 Well the Extreme4 can pretty much be compared to the Sabertooth, however for 20 bucks less. But to define exactly the differences between Extreme4 & Extreme6 would be something like this:

- The Extreme6 has a better overclock potential, it uses a better Audio, it supports 6 x SATA3 6.0 Gb/s & 4 x SATA2 3.0 Gb/s (Extreme4 supports 4 of both), and many other great feutures

The Extreme6 would be your best pick, however the Extreme4 is also a good pick

Unfortunately many takes ASRock for granted.

#22 They do, unfortunately they are slacking abit on the lower priced motherboard. Tho deciding to have a high-priced motherboard the ASUS boards are great & the clocking potential is good aswell. However when we are in a lower price range, ASUS just can't follow up on ASRock, if you want ASUS, you pay for the name & not the performance.

(Only when we talk lower budget computers)

I have to agree with the P8P67 PRO recommendation. I have one and have no complaints.

I'd like to stay away from that Asus board. The cold boot issue is still around.

Hopefully the evga p67 boards will ship soon. Amazon says 1 or 2 months. Those are priced nicely for the feature set

EVGA's price record isnt that great in my country.
Its $250 for the midlevel sli board, but its feature set looks really good, I.e triple graphics cards. If I remember correctly. Also the aesthetics are great imo
What's the price where you are?

I would stick with asus. I've owned both gigabyte and asus p67 boards, and besides the gigabyte looking better, I liked using my asus much better. Probably the best UEFI support out there right now, and great features.

And to the guy who said that since the asrock has more phases that it will be able to oc higher, that is false. It really depends on the quality of the cpu that you get, not the vrm design as much. People have oc'd to 5ghz+ on boards that only have 6-8 phases, so 16 is overkill. I personally wouldn't touch asrock, because asrock is one of those companies that isn't known for their high end boards, more for their budget oriented boards. I would never buy an expensive asrock product, but that's just me.
