That's good and all for a 3000Mhz CPU/NB but what he wants is his base clock increase from 200 MHz to 250 MHz which you need to increase the NBv.

I am using 1.3v for 300 MHz for now.

Another point I always mention is do things one at a time, so you can focus on that one thing to get it stable and then move to the next. Don't do it all at once you are basically shooting yourself in the foot.

Also 1.75v on the NB is a bit excessive don't you think? I am using 1.3v for 300 MHz for now.
1.75 is his ram voltage. your limitation may be your board. Some boards just won't go that high

^ good save.

I edited my post. But the OP shouldn't have an issue hitting that on an 800 series chipset.

Thats RAM going out.Change RAM sticks.

For me it was very easy to hit 249-250 FSB on a K9A2 Platinum + a AMD X2 6400+ readjusting only :
-the RAM deviders to keep it in specs ,
-CPU multiplier to keep it close to stock or under
-the HT multiplier so the HT Link to stay in spec or under the default.
No voltage was tweaked for that old CPU.RAM was set at maximum allowed by manufacturer. As the CPU was at it s TDP limits never try-ed more tweaks at that time.

My newer mobos are not able to do what i did with that 790FX+SB 600 combo so a motherboard limitation of some sort may not allow such FSB/HTT increase ,the OP should know this .

The performance increase was quite visible all around.

Is it really my ram going bad? I've run memtest with zero errors recently.

Alright I think ill just get new RAM. The RAM i have right now is 4 sticks of some pretty cheap OCZ RAM. The company actually stopped making RAM so thats probably not a good sign. I'll just invest in some corsair sticks.
