People buy it less on the PC because it's a hackfest.

An FPS can offer nothing worth a dime in subscriptions.

Actually I did read the article. All the things we used to get for free they are charging for. it's obviously you that didn't read the article.
I like how you saved yourself by adding "on PC..." And please enlighten on what are they charging that was free, and is now not?

Of course I added PC I game on the PC and this is largely a PC forum. I could care less about the contards.

Everything they are talking about charging for was free, for the end user, in COD4. Everything.

There is nothing new. It's a cash grab and as I said smart of Activision, the contards eat this stuff up.

Explain more? What is "everything." And you're saying there is NOTHING NEW that they are adding what wasn't in COD4? How about heat maps, gun stats, their own gamebattles, Facebook is involved somehow, personalized leaderboards, personal best. So all this stuff was in COD4?

That only includes new/physical retail sales, not digital, and if I remember right, Call of Duty Black Ops was Steamworks, requiring it even (?). If so, most probably just got it from there. It did definitely sell less on the PC (I wonder why...), but I just wanted to point that out.

COD should just be a console exclusive. Console gamers are happy to purchase recycled content for a premium, and even dumber to pay for an "elite" subscription.

Fools with money who don't know how to spend it. I guess none of these fools know that to be a real elite gamer they need to build and watercool their own PC systems, not play with console kiddies

This Elite stuff sounds more like the special olympics - but for gamers. Console kids will lap this up.
