Convince me to "invest" money for my rig - Page 3

A 17" monitor is kinda bitty, that's what I would replace.

Anyway it's not really investing, on account of you won't be making or saving any money.

Dont bother with a case, my Antec 300 has amazing CM in it and im running dual GFX cards with no problems, SSD isnt worth it at all, who cares about a sound card, 6870 CFX is overkill for your res, why WC if your temps are OK right now? I say save it until bigger and better things come out which will make all of these things less and the newer things cost the same.

People can invest in entertainment also. But yes, it's not a financial investment.

What graphics card do you have now? Do you think a better monitor would help?

I would say go for a better case. They can be reused and allow for better improvements in the future.

What you say about this:
a black NZXT Phantom instead of all the hardware.

You never invest in a pc.....

I would go with a Phantom case (a little biased) and a new monitor. Screen real estate is important to me

I do agree with you though, if you go all out on the pumps and rads. Buy a cheap small rad, and the water will be boiling if you add an extra gpu, meaning you'll have to invest once more. I wonder what would give you the best bang for buck, a 100 $ rad, meaning you can overclock that tiny bit more, or +200 $ for a fresh GPU.
Ive learned one thing, dont try to go for 'the long run' they will always find ways to get money out of your pocket, best is to spend it on bang.
