2 failed F3's, what next?

Thread Starter
So I built this computer about 10 months ago. I asked for advice, and everyone said to get F3's despite myself wanting WD. I lost my first one after about 5 months and just this morning lost my second one at 10 months. Seems they only last about 5 months as a main hdd :-/

So what hard drive should I try this time? I do a lot of media work and I can't afford to keep losing my clients pictures and videos. Looking for 250-500gb and 2 of each. Maybe a solid state two, but not sure.

WD Black are probably reliable. Personally i would get Seagate Constellation.

I like WD and I don't buy anything else. Get a WD drive. A 500gb black would work nice. IMHO ssd's are too small and too expensive to consider. But thats my opinion.

No dice. Two much sensitive information. I know all these hd's need are new controller boards.

I shall look into WD blacks. All of my previous WD's lasted 5+ years so they should be the ticket.

Do I get the 640gb 3.0gb/s or the 500gb 6.0gb/s? Will I notice the difference in speed?

No difference at all. A hard drive only runs at 100Mb/s.
