This is why i avoid Flea bay like the plague, 9/10 if the deal looks to good to be true, it is!

Mind you with a rampage II the deal does not look so good,

Hope things turn out ok

so i plan on replacing the board probably with ASUS Sabertooth X58 (i'm not dead set on this board i am definitely open to suggestions) i also really like the Gigabyte G1 series for the features and looks.
2x sli is probably the most i would do anyway, and the color scheme is perfect for the military tan theme i kind of want to go for with my build.
i want to try powder coating it myself since i will also be able to use the powder coating equipment for my ATV and small car parts.

also will the silverstone strider 750w be enough to run a dual sli, and maybe water cooling when i get around to it? maybe a second gtx 460 if i get one cheap or 570's (which would take longer before i could justify running 2x)

i will probably give in and get an OCZ vertex 3, so having a working sata 3 port is gonna be important. i've seen people say the marvel controllers dont play well with these

i have the G1 assassin is a sick board, haha the gun heatsinks might appeal to you, they are nice.

G1 series= very good boards, just expensive.

Whyd on;t you build a system? or buy used on these fourms? you will build a better system than being offered.

Honestly i7 950 is $200 at microcenter in store, then get your G1 series, microcenter will price match for system components if you buy a whole system to build. buy an anti-static wrist band and you can't screw it up. If you do return it to microcenter.

that being said you need to find a microcenter.

the build is over priced:

CPU $200
mobo $200
Ram kit of same spec like $100 max
GPU $250
case $150
PSu $100
HDD+ optical $75

Those are just my estimates but you can get away with good deals on other parts that are better than those stated.

the marvell controlers, the old ones at least don't.

the new control mervell SE9182 not 9128 is actually excellent, it rivals Intel, even beats it. the whole G1 series has the new controller as well the the X58A-OC.

see i was researching parts for my build but then somehow i got wraped up in that case (raven rv01 modified) and really wanted it and found that system on ebay and... i dont know impulse buying kicks my butt.

but i planed on spending around $2000 anyways on my build. figured i could still get just about as good a build buying it and upgrading some stuff and maybe getting a little back out of the old parts (MB,CPU,RAM, and maybe GPU). this was with a sandy bridge build in mind of course. now i was thinking of saving money and just upgrade MB maybe GPU and get a SSD. until ivy bridge, sandy bridge-E 2011 socket cpu's come out then maybe go with that.

unfortunately there isnt a microcenter in my state.

ii see the sabertooth has the 9128 marvell controller so i guess my options would be spend more on the board and get somthing like the G1 guerrilla to go with the vertex 3 or go with the sabertooth and maybe settle for a vertex 2.

honestly just get the SSD and maybe the board, you'll enjoy the sound and look of it to hold you over.

I wouldn't buy a new board JUST for the controller as the problems come when you use RAID.

You really want something military like huh? like the "military" grade parts ont he sabertooth?

Not true. Paypal is not an escrow service. I'm pretty sure you can get the money back, but it's not a simple process.
