PSU Advice

Thread Starter
I'm building a new rig and I'm having a bit of trouble trying to figure out how much power I need for it. The specs are:

Core i7 2600k OCed @ 4.9Ghz
P8P67 Deluxe
8GB Ram
2x Radeon HD6970s
XSPC Rada RX360 kit
4x Sata HDDs
1x Vertex 2
1x ODD
SB X-fi titanium
WinTV-HVR-2250 MC board

Would an 850W PS suffice or would I have to go up to the 1kW?

Also, my knowledge of PSUs drops to nil after 850W, thoughts on this one that I picked out?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817144004

Thanks all in advance.

A quality 750w should be enough, that said the 850w is more than enough.

Really? Thanks. I know the 6970s are going to eat up almost 600W in crossfire at full load, so I wasn't quite sure.

I'm almost certainly going with the SeaSonic, they make a hell of a PSU.

One of these would suffice:

XFX Core Edition PRO850W $120, $110 after rebate
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-011-_-Product

CORSAIR TX850 V2 $135, $120 after rebate
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-022-_-Product

Or semi modular, XFX PRO850W XXX Edition $154, $140 after rebate.

850w should give you a little headroom, but a 750w is enough.
