On some cards its not even possible to read the labelling at those ICs.
Plus those guys just found the FB pins by trial and error

Yeah, it's not even actually FB, they are Sense+ pin(per DS). The OCP mod is funny to. I've had these datasheets for months, but never really dug into them into now. Different, to say the least. Yeah, they saved me a bunch of time.

Those mod points aren't matching up with the 'FB' pin. I'm finding them though.

Also, this card uses the V1238 for VDD instead of the V1235.

Looking like this card is going to take four VRs......Not sure yet where I'm going to put them all.

Which mods dont match up? Memory?

you need 4x vr's for ..?

gpuv
ocp
vddq
vddr

*could make an external 'mod board' and just stand-it-off of the pcb..otherwise fitting them in places that insulating and pot mounting wont interfere with will be tough.

Yea, the memory mod points don't match up with the FB pin on the vddr and vddrq. I'm also wondering if I could tie both them to the same VR so they scale up with one VR.

Yeah, I got a little blank PCB board I'm fiddling with now, but think I need a bigger one. Most the room towards the back of the card needs to be open for mod points and caps, while the front of the board has SLi connectors eating up real-estate at the top of the PCB.

EDIT: Just realized these vdd and vddq are going to take 500K VRs and I don't have any. Going to have to place another order. Mod is taking a little longer then planned. Not sure if I'm going to make the June 13th deadline or not.

Double edit:
Measure points added for GPU, VDD, and VDDQ

Triple: The marked measure point for VDD is wrong in the pic to.... :/ Got two GPU measure points on my molex. Going to have to fix that.

seems like a lot of work is going into this. Can't wait to try it out. If it's not done by the 13th, oh well. I'm not going to use it the same day i get home. Most likely would be the weekend and even then i'm not sure. With all the money i've been spending on booze and clothes, don't think i'm going to have any money to fill my dewar. I'm on day 3 of the vacation and have spent the last two drinking. Still got about a week left and gonna go bbq in a bit and drink some more.

Got good news and bad news.

Good news: I can confirm the VDD and VDDQ mods. They are not directly connected to FB. Lowering resistance right to FB doesn't do anything, but the mod point for both VDD and VDDQ are 20K resistor series next to FB.

Bad news. During last nights modding, I accidentally switched the ground wire for the VRs and the VDD VR wire. I thought I double checked everything last night before going to bed, but when I plugged her up today and tested, she died in about 3 secs. The red arrow points to the wires I had switched. I folded the wire instead of making a 90 degree turn and switched them up. Something I should have double checked before firing up. Totally my fault.

Sent you a PM Mike. I'll make sure you get a replacement card

Mod was looking beast to.

Meh, blurry image.

All the VRMs still work fine though. Looking for a replacement card for Mike. Think I'm going to try and make this one a zombie and add it to the replacement card, when I find one.
