i love water

Thread Starter
so around dec i decided to build a new rig since my old phenom 9600 was slugish and just plain slow since it did not like to oc. so last night my parts come in a month after ordering them since ups had to loose the package
and after about 2 hours of tinkering last night i put together a vary nice water cooling loop based off the xspc rasa 750 rx360 with a ek nickle full cover block for my 6950. and let me tell you i can never go back to air cooling, after the install i was able to bump my 1090t up to 4.2 with a 1.41 vcore and after 6 hours in prime still rock stable and still not passing 48c but the part im really happy about is the 1000 core on the 6950 with a 49-51c temp before the highest i could go was 920 core and i would have to keep the fan at 65-70% just to keep it between 65-70c and that sucker was loud.
All in all i would say one of the best upgrades and money well spent,
had a few hours of fun putting it all together and it also makes my rig look like a bamf

I also love my RASA and the great temps I get.

I am going to try different TIM and get some GT-2150's to see what kind of improvement I can get.

I had never built a computer, let alone a WC loop. I dug right in on my first build, and it's not all that hard. The only complaint I have are the ends of my figers going purple with bruising and pain from tightening fittings.

Trust me, the week of research pays itself off when you look at the finished product.
