Little GTX580 SLi question - Page 2

I like Arizonian's thinking above ... in fact, I've said the same thing a few times on these boards

Reference on bottom, aftermarket on top ... seems like it'd probably give the best temps. Doesn't look nearly as sweet as a matching pair of Twin Frozr cards though

If you think you'll be keeping the cards for a while, then watercooling is pretty good. It will make your cards quieter, cooler, more overclockable, and may increase the life of them since they are cooler.

If your cpu has good temps now, you can just keep the H60. For the gpu loop, something like this would be good:

2x EK GTX 580 Water Blocks http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=29843

Xspc X2O Pump/Res Combo http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=30282

Xspc RX360 Radiator http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=25389

8x Enzotech 1/2 ID 3/4 OD Compressions Fittings http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=28357

10ft of colored tubing http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=23924

That totals up to about $433.50

I'm going 580 SLI sometime soon with 2 accelero xtreme plus cards. I can't wait. I already never break 60c load (45c load if I just leave the card @ 40% fan speed). I don't expect to run into any temperature problems with them in SLI.
Water is a silly expensive if you ask me the AXP cooler will be better future proofed and less expensive in the long run. Quieter too if you do it right. Downside is 3 slots.

It's not cheap but this is an option:

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186043
Even with really low airflow it will perform extremely well.
You could get one of these and a Galaxy 580 with it installed then SLI them together.
