The graphics aren't going to wow you, it's UE3 so I wouldn't expect wonders from an ageing engine, but they're very much playable and tend to look better when actually playing.

Is it worth £25? I guess that depends on what you as an individual expect from it I suppose.

UE3 is still a fantastic engine capable of incredible visuals. The graphics dont wow us simply because it was designed and optimized around consoles, little to no effort was given specifically to the PC version, which shows in the graphics and multiplayer issues currently.

Graphics and gameplay are quite often tied to developer talent, when the talent isnt there, the game can suffer.

At x4 it runs ok, it starts slowing down a little at x8 and over though. With a bit of ini tweaking I could probably improve the performance though x4 is more than enough really.

Ok I get it, you don't like it because it's a console port.

I don't think anyone was expecting gods gift to PC gaming from this and neither should you have either.

i dont. which is why im waiting to it to drop in price, not to mention the entirely average reviews from ever critic.

An average game, which turns out to be a mediocre pc port, along with buggy multiplayer through gamespy causing co-op problems.

Yeah, i dont see why i should wait to buy it.

The only issue with the game for me is the co-op issue, which will get fixed (a Bethesda employee has already made it clear it's being looked into) and has a couple of work arounds. Other than that I see no real reason to dislike the game, it looks good (especially in the dungeons), it's a fun game, and the co-op works well (when it works, lol).

And I'm going to be brutally honest here, half the reviews I've read are terrible reviews. Alot of them don't even go into proper detail about the entire game (IGN, lol), like Crucible and Old School mode. Most of the reviewers don't even understand some of the more simple and basic stuff (like second weapon slots). It's like some of them haven't even tried to play the game properly.

Mind you saying that I've managed to get enjoyment out of games that were reviewed and given scores of far less than Hunted (Golden Axe: Beast Rider, which was actually quite fun, lol).

Maybe gamers are just more and more spoilt these days. Maybe too demanding. Maybe overly expectant (disregarding co-op). So much so that maybe they overlook what actually makes a game fun to play.

When it works it's a blast. If you like Gears of War you would probably like this.

If you're interested in buying the game then hold for a patch to the multiplayer if the co-op is the biggest selling point to you. There are work arounds however.

sounds like the reviewers are getting the score correct. Its not ground breaking, its not great looking, it has bugs. It is an average game. Being an average game does not mean its not fun.

I think gamers know exactly what is fun to them, and decide what to buy based on that. Such as myself, nothing in this game screams that i should pay Full price for it, it is a budget purchase after it gets down to $20-25. What is see is not being spoiled, but actually voting with their money.

once more, an average game can still be fun. Just because a game doesnt score 90-100 doesnt mean its not fun.

I don't think this game deserves a 90-100, but I do think that some of its scores are a bit harsh, for reasons I already outlined. I have played the game, quite a bit, and I have noticed reviewers not evening mentioning specific features that this game actually has, or even making mistakes in regards to basic gameplay elements.

It has its faults, that's for sure, but they're fixable.

I'd personally give this game a 7.5/10 bumping it up to an 8.5/10 when the co-op issues are fixed, even as a port.

It deserves flak for the co-op issues for definite, but for everything else it pretty much nails what it sets out to do.

How do you force AA int his game? I didn't see AA manipulation was an option in the advanced graphics .
