Witcher 2 crashing

Thread Starter
Ok so this is the 2nd time my witcher 2 has crashed in a specific way. I thought I'd get some input.
When it crashes the display flicks off and my monitor says 'input not detected', my G15 lcd freezes yet the sound keeps playing.. not looping but playing.. A simple hit of the shutdown button initiates nothing I have to hard boot it.
This is happening in no other game and I have a relatively mild OC of 880/2170/1075mv.
I have an accelero xtreme plus so heat has nothing to do with it.
I had the beta nvidia drivers but reverted to stable 275.33.
Any ideas? Should i just go back to stock OC to see what happens?

Your OC might require more voltage. GPU OC can be stable in one game and highly unstable in another. Try to use the stock clocks for your card and see if it happens again. This will either solve the issue or eliminate one possible reason.

Yup. Sounds like you need to back off the oc a bit.

Driver crashed due to high oc and low voltage. Sometimes your voltage doesn't match your set voltage due to the original bios.

Hm it's just strange i can loop metro 2033 25 times no problem and witcher 2 crashed. But I just played witcher 2 for about 20 minutes on stock clocks no problem. Thanks guys I think I'll leave my OC stock for a while.

I had a similar issue; 2 games out of my entire library would randomly crash, causing my monitor to blank out, sound kept playing but eventually would glitch and stutter. All I did was tune down memory clock by around 50mhz and never saw the problem recur.
