Exactly!

Everything should be taken with a grain of salt. Some info like the latest CPU-Z screens seem legit because of their source. Some just come out of nowhere and should be taken with an especially big grain of salt. Guess where this one falls.

I'm not one of these guys bashing BD whenever I can. That doesn't mean I'll forget about using my brain when good figures about BD are released.

First of all, AMD has already stated themselves the 500Mhz turbo boost on all cores function - on their 16-core server chips. If the server chips can do this, so can the desktop ones that have half as many cores. A change log for the latest version of CPU-Z shows that Turbo Boost on AMD's FX-Series is anywhere between 500Mhz and 1Ghz above the base speed.

Great. You're still basing your prediction off a base clock of 4.2GHz. As I said, you're basing your conclusions on fake information.

why do people care about this so much. Is there a game or program that is going to greatly benefit by waiting for Bulldozer instead of getting the 2600k back in January? You going to save 50 bucks or something by going Bulldozer?

I am just so sick of this discussion, its been going on for 8 months now, the last 4 there is something about this everyday...

Developers are just now taking advantage of 2006 architecture so whats the big rush to get these? I honestly dont get it at all and I am an AMD guy.

The OCD about this topic is beyond alarming. I am a huge computer nerd but some people need to get a life instead of rehashing this topic every freaking day.

it can, those 8 cores are accualy faked. its a hardware HT. 4 modules (wich should be 4 cores + HT) with 2 "mini cores" each.
also BD is a sb (1155)/ivy bridge competitor. for sb-e amd will be having something else but those are far plans and maybe they will fight with succesor of sb-e.
