5770 Crossfire dual monitor issue.

I just bought a XFX 5770 to Crossfire with my Radeon 5770. When I start a game it flickers about 3 times and crashes to desktop with windows saying that AMD drivers have crashed and have been repaired or the game just freezes. When I disable my second monitor I have no problems at all. I have uninstalled drivers and reinstalled them a couple of times now but no luck. I will try all my games and see if any of them will start up.

I just tried MW2 and it made it to the main menu. Every couple seconds my main monitor will go black and my second monitor will flicker about 4 times. It did this about 6 times before my computer blue screened.

My main monitor is a 32" LG TV plugged into HDMI and my secondary is a ACER 23" plugged into DVI. I swapped monitors and it works flawlessly. I really want my main monitor to be the 32" but I have no idea how to make it work with Crossfire.

Simply dragging an Emulator over to the 32" freezes the program.

I ran driver sweeper in safe mode and I swapped the cards around but still a no-go.

do you have both monitors plugged into the same card?.. they should be. I had a similar setup and it ran fine... althought I was using both DVI outputs.

Both are plugged into the same card. I did have a friend suggest maybe it doesn't like the HDMI DVI mixture for some reason but my 32" tv doesn't support DVI and both my cards have only one HDMI. Is there a HDMI to DVI cable somewhere on the internet I can purchase?

I found this cable on amazon and it's pretty cheap. Do you think this will solve my problem? Nothing else I can try off the top of my head so I'm thinking just go for it.

if you are sure that using the 2nd dvi output will fix the card, you can try something inexpensive like this:

so are you only getting errors on the LG when you have crossfire enabled?

Yeah I'm going to try the HDMI to DVI.

Yes it's only the LG. When I make my 23" my main monitor there's no errors and when I use just the LG there's no errors.
