Thread Starter
Hello everyone from OCN, I need some help with my Radeon HD 5970....Im playing the game League of Legends and Aion. For some reason my screen keep flickering when I play LoL and I cant get it to stop...I have tried installing different drivers (11.2-11.5) and they all do the same thing. If I go to older drivers (10.4-10.) then my Aion FPS drops alot. What do you guys think I should do.. Please I really need some help...

I try to stay away from these type of drivers, I was told to only use driver from the ATI website for such a high end card...

No no no no.

With AMD barely able to support the 6xxx series and their now dwindling support for the 5xxx series, where, before that, 4xxx driver support just up and died, modded drivers are the only way for legacy owners to go.

Personally, I'd use this person's modded drivers.

But if you really just want to play a game, now now now, while hoping that AMD will eventually fix it, which they wont, turn crossfire off.

Try running the game in windowed mode. That helped me in one case though the game will only utilize 1 core if you do. If flickering stops, I guess you'll have to play in windowed mode which isn't too bad imo.

From what I can tell, OCing with multidisplay setups can lead to screen flicker since the card has a tendency to downclock way too low to support the resolution.
