Appraise this rig, please

post #1 of 11
Thread Starter
I was going to put some parts up for trade awhile ago, but realized I could have a complete rig if I just bought a CPU and some ram, so i did. I was originally going to trade those parts off for a cheap laptop. I just ordered the cpu and ram yesterday so I should have them by Tuesday. I have everything except a case, if I sell it, I would ship it in original boxes. I would only sell as a whole or trade it for a small laptop. Everything was purchased Feb 28th 2011 except the cpu and ram which are brand new. Please appraise, thanks.

CPU: AMD Athlon II X3(don't know if it unlocks a fourth, I don't have the chip yet)

You'll get around $500 for the computer on CL, just advertise it correctly. The monitor is worth around $100, too.

Thanks, I will most likely trade it off for a laptop, but if that doesn't pan out, then I am definitely hitting up Craigslit, thanks +rep.

It's just a little over $500 at retail. (From what I calculated it's ~$520) Unless I missed something ?

Trade value I'd say it's around $450 and for a quick sale $400 - $425.

I don't see what some are putting higher values on. New parts or not, it's still considered used as soon as it's on your hands. If someone's going to pay full price, why not just goto Newegg, TigerDirect, Amazon or the like ? Maybe saves on shipping, the only pro I can see.

$500 is good for the PC.
Monitor - $120 give or take

QS = 425, long sale = 450 - 500
