Help me with dual GPU fittings

Thread Starter

Alright.
So, I want to do a parallel loop for the sole reason that it will be easier to install than doing a serial loop where my 5/8 OD tubing will have to make a 180 degree turn over 2 inches.

The blocks I'm going to get are 2x EK VGA Supreme HF
I'm going to use PCIe_1 and PCIe_2 (about 2 inches apart from one another)

Here is my proposed idea:

I want to get a T-connector and use the top end for water in. Then, I want the L-end to go to GPU1, while the bottom end leads to GPU2. The same configuration would be used on the outlet for both GPU blocks, except water would be exiting.

So, there would be one barb on the GPU block inlet. Then I would cut a piece of tubing ~2 in. long and attach it to the barb and the T-connector. Then I connect the water in to the top of the T-connector. Then I would connect a barb to the bottom GPU block inlet, and then just attach tubing from the bottom of the T-connector to the block inlet (covering a 90 degree bend). I would repeat that configuration for the outlet.

These are the T-connectors.
These are the barbs.
This is the universal water block.

.

It's very difficult to me to explain in words (but yet also difficult to me to explain visually), so here is the best I can do:

Edit: I'm having issues with my tablet right now, pictures later.

It might be better if you post of a picture of your computer with all the components installed, but not the tubing. This way, we can get a better idea of the best layout for you to use. With your current post as is, there is no one we can accurately help you as there are simply too many variables and possible obstructions.

I don't even have water cooling yet, or a decent case. I'm still planning things out, and this is what I want to do. Let's assume I had enough space and the cards are in PCIe_1 and PCIe_2.

Im looking to set things up this way once I get my second 5850, I was thinking of getting some 45's to help the tubing with the bends. I have also found the the fittings end up a little close to the board with my single 5850 so the 45's should give me a little more room.

4 minutes in paint, you don't need a tablet.

That's what you mean, right?
I'm curious to know the answer to this as well, but I'm planning to get two blocks of the distance of slot 1 and slot 5, instead of for you slot 1 and slot 2 (farther distance).

That's a serial loop. I'm going for parallel.

Yes, that is what I'm trying to accomplish. My main concern is, however, whether or not it will fit over PCIe_1 and PCIe_2, and if the tubing can take a bend like that.

I know this, why are you introducing two extra fittings? Do you want low restriction through that part of the loop?

You will have similar bend radius either way with one being 90° and the other 180°.

How about this with a 45°/90° adaptor?

The water will be 1-2c difference max. Totally not worth it imo.
