New Intel Build Having Odd "Freeze"

Thread Starter
Hey all - Just finished up my third build (specs below). I'm having an odd issue that's got me stumped.

Every so often, maybe once or twice an hour, the computer will "freeze" but I can still move the mouse and click. The HDD light will be on during this period. It can last from 30 seconds to several minutes. Sometimes the computer will un-freeze and resume whatever it was doing. Any ideas on things I should check for, or troubleshoot? Help is much appreciated!

You may want to review the OCZ Vertex 3 setup procedures. Due to mounting complaints with the new chipsets and V3 issues such as yours:
