WCing Case

Thread Starter
I know one of the sticky threads touches on cases abit. But moreso in terms of recommended cases and such.

I havent WCd before so will be a straight up newb XD. Initially I will probably only be WCing either my CPU (2500k) or GPU (GTX570), though I do plan to set them both up for WCing.

Im wondering how big of a performance impact going with smaller cases has? Mid-tower vs Full tower essentially.

If the impact isn't all too significant, then I'm probably going to go with a mid tower case <$120.

Below are the current cases Im looking at. Any opinions on which ones would be better/worse for WCing?
Order was simply determined by style preference.

NZXT Arc Midi looks great for my price point. Shame that there doesnt seem to be any viable way to get it in the US

shinobi would be amazing for watercooling (240mm rad at the front), the fractal design is also quite good

Can the H2 also do 240mm rad in the front? It has 2x front 120mm fans.

Are you recommending the Fractal or H2? Or simply saying both are good? XD

no it cant have a 240mm in the front, but a 240mm at the top. I think the shinobi or fractal will be your best options. The shinobi will have a lot of accessories coming out (Such as white stripes to replace the black trim, and multi colored bit-fenix logos to replace the white one)

the cm690 is also quite good

Perhaps a better question for me to have asked would have been: what should I look for in a case that is indicative of how good it will be for WCing?

From snooping around a few WCing threads, one of the most important things seems to be how big of a rad you can fit as well as how many? How do I determine how big of a rad I can put (without physically having the case n trying to jam one in)? XD I figured it was by the fans, but if the Shinobi can fit a 240 in the front with 2x 120mm but the H2 cant, then I spose that its something else.

I would start the other way and decide what sort of loo[/loops your going to include and wirk from there.
but personally i looked for flexibility first the Corsir 700D lines up well on price sizw and sleibility but is full size but you can put a 360 in the top as standard +a slim 140 on the inside back if you don't mind loosing the fan as well as easy mods to the power supply area for another280 if needed

Id be all over a 700D but for the most part, they are $200+ from the ones I can find.
