Looking for an Upgradable water cooling setup recommendation - Page 2

I'm doing mine this/next month too. same budget, Ive been uming and arring about all the stuff for ages, those EK nickels aint too good, theres a few cases on here that people have had with them going all corroded, Im ordering copper blocks.

Also I wouldnt get a kit, im ordering a d5 pump since is really powerful and a res to attach to it.

For the barbs you need to pick a tube size, and get the appropriate ones to fit, you might need 45 / 90 bends so that you are not bending the tube so much that it could compress or kink.

have a look at this guys build log, http://www.overclock.net/water-cooli...k-warning.html

ok lads, after doing some research and general snooping around this is what ive come up with, please check If im not missing anything and post your opinions on the following setup:

cpu block: im between the following 2, wondering which will give better performance?

http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/p/EK...6AM3_1373.html

http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/p/Sw...lock_1804.html

gpu blocks: either ek because of the back plate that you can get as well or heat killer

http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/p/EK...kel_20671.html

+

http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/p/EK...ack_20700.html

or

http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/p/Wa...ion_20674.html

radiators and fans: from what ive read so far it seems that rasa 750 rx series would be the best choice so Im thinking about getting the

http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/p/XS...Black_122.html for the cpu loop

and two of these for the gpus (one each)

http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/p/XS...Black_136.html

and slap some of these on the rads (any idea if there is a red version of those fans or how to make them red? Black and red is the general color team im using in my rig)

http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/p/Sc...0-RPM_945.html

pump/res combo:

either http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/p/XS...ascia_939.html

or if you think its not enough then maybe

http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop/...pid-11202.html

or

http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop/...-pid-9991.html

hose and fittings:

http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/p/Ma...33m_12119.html

http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/p/EK...ack_19930.html

and some accessories I thought I could use:

http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/p/Ar...-NEW_1825.html

http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/p/Ho...m-Max_223.html

http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/p/Mo...-Red_1031.html

http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop/...pid-13606.html

Anything else you think I'm missing or could change for a different better one?

Not sure there is a EK Xfire block that does sandy bridge board yet as the gap is bigger please check it's a wast of money otherwise i have a 5.25 double res in mine which is good for fill not so much for emptying, if your looking at doing this in stage build in a good and low drainage point it's worth it as tipping a WC'd 800d is hardwork also as everyone would indicate use distiiled water those dyes stain everything so untill it's the way you want still with water after that i have no preferrnce and use premixed coolant myself
