What?? I have been using XSPC tubing since november 2010. I don't have any comparisons with other brands as it was they time I have water cooled but it does the job and looks exactly the same as when I installed it

I'm glad people have good things to say about their standalone tubing line, because I have heard a LOT from people on here that the tubing included with their watercooling kits (Rasa) would often go brown and flake crap into the water column after a few months. It wouldn't surprise me very much if they used a cheaper brand of tubing in their kits, though you would wonder why they'd risk their reputation and the reputation of their new product line by cutting a corner like that.

I hope to hear more good things about XSPC's non-kit tubing as time goes on!

The tubing from the RASA kits have been known to turn brown (mine did) but usually when running at high water temps for extended periods of time.

Just buy the tubing separate. Tygon or Masterkleer always works.
As for the flaking, that sounds like the components themselves, not the tubing..but I have never had that happen to me, as I have never used a kit.

Also tubing really doesn't matter that much, its not going to drop your temps.

XSPC are a fantastic watercooling brand, imo they are very very unlikely to produce a poor quality tubing.

I have their tubing and use it, and also in my current build I have, I believe, masterkleer.

I have honestly never noticed a difference in any tubing I have bought beyond the colour and writing on the side and in 6-7 years of watercooling I have been through a fair lot.

the only tubing I really think is terrible is tiny stuff from a thermaltake kit which kinked over as the door closed (because I got somebody else who doesn't know his elbow from his arsehole to install it [the first and last time I let somebody else build my PC]).

I've folded on CPU+2xGPU all heavily overclocked with my Primochill Primoflex tubing and never seen any crap in the water, but I can't check the insides since it's white opaque. I had heard this from a number of people though, so I'm confident it wasn't one or two people who have experienced this from pushing their system too hard.

It wasn't the components, it was the tubing, and it was seen by a few people, so it wasn't just isolated incidents. The components were fine, and the brown and flakes went away as soon as they changed their tubing. It might have been from their loops heating up too much, supposedly plasticizer leaches from the tubing at ~50c, which is hard to get your temp that high in an efficient rig, but maybe that's what it was with those people... maybe not?

"Upon close examination, the XSPC PVC Flexible tubing isn’t a superior product. It’s good overall, but did fall a bit short on the bend test, is slightly yellowish in colour, and costs a bit more than the ClearFlex 70. However, compared to the expensive Tygon, the XSPC tubing is a good value for the most part"
