In search of a digital audio recorder

*edit* Sorry... Probably posted this in the wrong section. Just noticed it says COMPUTER audio haha.

I do a lot of video recording while riding motorcycles. Currently I use a gopro camera for video and my phone in my helmet to record audio so I can capture my voice. There is no way to adjust the recording volume on my phone so (excuse the noob attempt to describe the problem) the sound level just goes out of range when I talk loud and I am left with a lot of noise. Wind noise is not a problem with the fur wind noise suppressor I am using. I have tried my cheapo computer mic in my helmet recording to my computer and if I turn down the volume in the audio driver control panel, it works perfectly when I talk loud!

So I've come to the conclusion that I just need a digital voice recorder which has the following:
-External mic input
-At least 2 hour recording time with high quality audio (just needs to be good enough to understand my ramblings )
-A way to output to my computer
-Doesn't use a funky proprietary audio format
-absolutely MUST HAVE volume control for the external mic

Unfortunately, I can't find anything that fits the bill! It seems as if it has one thing I need, it doesn't have the other thing I need.

If anyone knows of something good, that would be a great help. The lower the price, the better.

That's about the only one that has mic sensitivity adjustment and USB together. Looks like the winner.
