i7 2600k, Maximus IV Mobo - CANNOT get a overclock out of it

Thread Starter
Ive tried several different voltages, several basic overclocks and alls Im getting are bluescreens, lockups, black screens etc etc.

I just need some help.

Started at 1.35v, for a 4700ghz OC and it bluescreened after 10 minutes of Prime95.

Tried lower, until got to base OC and AGAIN it bluescreened.

Im pretty lost and really annoyed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

normally prime95 will give you an error code if theres something going wrong. clearly your build is unstable, maybe check to see if others have had similar builds and what results theyve got

Cam you post you overclock settings? VRM, LLC etc
post #4 of 15
Does it run stable at stock? First thing to check...

Here are the BIOS pics, note this is just base stuff.

I had to so I could get a stable PC going.

I changed:

Memory timings to what was listed on ram at CL 9-10-0-28 at 1.55v.
Load Line Calib to Enabled 100%
VCCIO 1.0v
VCCSA .9v
CPU volts to 1.35.

At anything over 39 or 40 It either doesnt boot up or BSODs in windows.

EDIT: Nevermind the pics wont upload, 2400kb BMPs and they wont upload?
