The only reason they get away with hacking the consoles is because the fans boys of them barely know how to use a browser, now if they hacked steam they're dealing with a whole new level of fan boy.

Under no circumstances is any of this good. It's out of control and is going to wind up with the government getting seriously involved.

haha, stereotyping... I've helped people do the simplest things on steam. I don't think they'll get anywhere with steam in the first place anyways, they are incredibly good at what they do (inb4 steam gets hacked).

In their minds it is constructive... although the repercussions of their actions, well, their too short sighted to see them.

Definitely more destructive than good, but I digress.

Not to get political, but it may very well be government doing such things to push agendas. Wouldn't be first or last time for any government... which makes that a broad general statement

I hope this stuff stops though really. Getting tired of it.

Some believe it will stop once you delegate of all aspects of your private life to a higher authority.

To avoid this simply understand that you are in control of who gets your information. Treat the act of giving away your name, address, phone number, serial number, or whether you are susceptible to any diseases (Arnold Pizza Delivery pun), as if you are a king bestowing the receiving party with the utmost trust to use it properly. If you doubt their ability to handle your info properly, then DENY them that trust. You are in control and YOU say who uses your info

If these hackers are going after evil companies, why is Activision still going?
