I was just reading on google and it saying that the higher the unifed shaders is the higher the architecture of the card, dont worry about it.

6870 should have 1120 unified shaders. The 6850 only has 980.

Is the card brand new? Seems strange. As suggested try reflashing the BIOS with another standard one to see if that resolves your issue. If not, RMA it

ask google these things my friend. i thing your card might have the dual boot switch on it. Look at some reviews and find out how to do it.

this is pretty old (refers to agp) but the general sequence should still apply.
Use an old card to boot your system with your corrupted BIOS card installed etc.... See link

That's a really dumb answer, he came here for advice, not google. If you don't want to help him then don't.

G23, you should have contacted your sub vendor (Sapphire) about this issue, yes flashing a bios can void warranty you have to be careful with that sort of thing, especially if you are a novice.

I think there has been some very poor advice given out in this thread so far.

You can try find an old PCI card and use that? Not very common now though.

Your other options is to flash it in a mates system with on board graphics or two PCIe slots.

Finally option is a 'Blind flash' basically you flash it in Dos without the being able to see what your doing. Unfortunately I cant help you there but Im sure someone who's done it or a Google search will help there.
