i7 2600k/ASUS Sabertooth question.

Thread Starter
Hi everyone. I'm have some questions to how the voltage is currently working right now. On my Asus Sabertooth i'm using Offset voltage of +0.100. In the OS with programs like Asus Suite II/CPUID/HWmonitor/ I'm getting different voltage readings from what the motherboards BIOS shows(My Intended Voltage) which is 1.362v. OS shows 1.43v??(wth?!?). So i'm really not sure WHO to believe. The BIOS or the OS? I've turned off Intel Stepping, I have my costume voltage settings. Multi is set to x47.... What am I missing??? CPUID shows 1.43 idel, and when stress tested with IBT or Prime95. CPUID shows 1.36 at load. Its really confusing. So what am I missing? Is something else suppose to be turned off? Please help!

This is why I dont like offset. IMO its stupid..
I just set my vcore to what I know I need, set LLC to HIGH ( keeps the vcore as close as possible to what is set in bios )..
If you dont aggree with me, Dont flame me. This is all IMO.. And it works so.

EDIT: Forgot to add, NEVER USE LLC and OFFSET at the same time. End up like me in windows at 1.76 vcore.

I have a similar set-up as you and I always went by what the OS said. I did have problems though using the offset when not at full load, like when flash was being used. Therefore, I just set the volts manually. Good luck.

LLC? I'm pretty new to Intel Chipsets. I came from the AMD woods. I really don't know what most of these BIOS settings do. I like your advice from how it sounds, i just need to know what LLC is. Thank you for your time capwn

LLC is Load Line Calibration. Makes it so your voltage does not drop at load.
