Nope, this is the max temp the actual chip should stay under, not the core. Max core temp would be about 85*C

Ok I overclocked it to 3.15Ghz and now it seems fine, I'm going to play some killing floor to check the temps. Should I continue going, and what do you think is the limit?

I'd run (20-30 runs of IBT) and (prime 95 blend for 6-8 hours) to get a general idea of it's stability and realtemp to monitor temps to make sure they are OK. IF everything is sound, I'd push up from there. As you raise the FSB you will need to change your memory divider to keep your RAM from giving you an unstable OC.
