6970 Vs Antec 300

Thread Starter
I've recently been looking at the XFX 6970 which is nearly a foot long.... I'm concerned that its not going to fit inside my antec 300, has anyone used this case and card?

Id much rather not change cases unless necessary, However if it doesn't fit any case suggestions would be more than welcome!

If you already have the case just measure the available space.
Looking at the pictures it looks like it will fit.

From looking at the measurement I took, its likely going to poking slightly into the Hdd bay, But that's fine as long as its not too wide to fit in there.

You should be fine. Add a fan in the front to cool her down as well.

Fantastic, thanks for the screenshots, Im sure there wont be much of a heat issue either.

EDIT: I am considering using this and This:http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129087 with my new build but knowing that it fits in the tower I have I might consider just keeping the current case

If you do go with a new case, it would be well worth the extra few $$$ to go with a HAF-X. I can't recommend it enough. If you don't mind the looks, it's basically the evolution of cases, anything you could think of adding to a case. My only complaint is that sometimes the CPU bracket doesn't line up with the case's hole for it, but that's common in most cases these days. Of course the Corsair 800 is nicer, but a lot more expensive too.
