This months competition you can run benches once if you want. Scores carry over for each lap and if you want, you can submit better scores.

You don't have to repost, just submit once and they carry over. If you want to improve your scores you can, but it's not mandatory that you repost anything.

Say you are short on time and you want to get scores in for lap one. You submit some air scores with moderate overclock. Lap 2 you got the water going and got better scores. Those scores would carry over from then on until you you get better scores. Say lap 5 you had a snow storm and opened the windows and beat your lap 2 scores, then you submit those. You only submitted 3 times, but had scores for every lap.

i see, so if on the first lap i get some super uber score i can just let it sit there and rack up the points? How do others with worse hardware compete then? seems like whoever has the most expensive system/cooling is gonna win?

Thats usually how all overclocking competitions work. However, in this one you have different classes for different generations of cards. So an older high end card can do well, and doesn't cost much. Also, maybe the guys with LN2 didn't have any for first few laps and people racked up points in the mean while. The LN2 guy has to then play catch up. There were points for first off the line, pole position, then for each lap. Also have random draw prizes, so any body who plays has a chance.

You can submit now and still have a chance at random draw prize. You also can put some good numbers up and show us you mean business.

There are different classes of gpu, only 1 other player in post 5*** AMD class (where you would be) & you have a very good chance if you get in it soon.
As far as the hardware, a guy who will put the whip to some lesser hardware & spend time tweaking can still beat a guy with great hardware who babies it. You have a pretty nice system there, would just have trouble with a sub-zero benchmarker, that's half the reason I started freezing things, was hard to keep up with the top dogs when I was on water.
