Do you not have any extra HDD lying around you can throw windows on, just to see if that cures the problem? If you lived near me I'd loan you one ... probably have like 20 HD's in the closet.

Have you checked your event viewer to see if there's any recurring error?

Also, you say the issue goes away when you disable SLI, but I would try each card separately, in each of the two slots you're using, make sure that in all four scenarios, the problem doesn't exist with a single card in either slot.

Is there anything in Device Manager that lacks a driver?

.
Asus just released a bios for that board last month.
IMHO I never run my processors over 3.8 everyday OC

I don't get why you're quoting my post

And are you suggesting you think the OP's trouble stems from the clocks on his proc being over 3.8GHz? If so, I'm not sure I understand the 'logic' behind that assertion ... maybe you could elaborate?

However, it probably would make sense to try the rig w/all the clocks/volts etc left at 'stock' in your bios, though, if you've not already OP.

And if there's indeed a newer bios for the board, it's def. worth trying it out

No it was just the last post on the thread. I try to put a IMHO or a , "what works for me".
Its been my experience when you wind a system as tight as it will go. It will do goofy things.
Last time I had hitching (long time a go) was with a WD sata HDD and a creative ZGamer sound card. Creative crap drivers.

3.4 is stock then 3.8 turbo mode which is still stock.

Ill that try new bios a try. Amorphous from nvidia Forums said that it couldnt be my hard drive at all, but from most google search i found people saying that they solved this problem with a new driver or help. He also the one that suggested ahci trick.

Is there anything in Device Manager that lacks a driver?

I'd also try going Microsoft site and grab whatever is the latest DirectX version they have posted, and installing it. I know games come w/DX and install it and everything, but it's worth a try throwing on the complete DX package from MS as I think there's some stuff that's in there that's not in the installers that come w/games.
I dont have any hard drives laying around Thank you though for the offer

Event viewer looks completely normal, Download the latest dx version off Microsoft site too. Device manger has no errors or missing drivers.

Ill that try new bios a try. Amorphous from nvidia Forums said that it couldnt be my hard drive at all, but from most google search i found people saying that they solved this problem with a new driver or help. He also the one that suggested ahci trick. He Also mention that its wierd that im getting mirco stutter since they fix it...

Now let me ask you this, i also found another users post where he solved his issue with a new keyboard and mouse. My mouse is a CM storm 5600dpi but for my KB ..... im ashamed to say is a wireless generic Logitech mouse and kb combo. The mouse is sut off, the combo also has only one receiver.

I did notice something though. When play Black ops or any other fps it seems like every time i move around a map the textures reload them selfs. My frame rates in black ops with go from 60 fps to 58 real quick which feels like a laggy frame drop then it goes back to 60 fps but at the same time it feels like input lag bad. Without v sync just feels like a frame drop and suttering all at the same time.

Do you have another keyboard you can test it with.

That will give you fits. I disagree with tecjessy said about your system too fast @nvidia forums.
Did you do the latency check that brettjv put up? Post the results. What bios are you using now? there's been 3 rev. since rel.
Flash the bios.

Did you disable your page file by any chance? If you did, re-enable it.

Also you didn't answer my question about whether this problem is only w/online games.

No, but i went ahead and order a gaming KB off of newegg. Need a new one anyways and tired of going through all the batteries.

Im running those bios right now. Just flash to it. did nothing. My hard drive will be here later this week.

Try the page file trick. Did nothing. I also re-enable it.

Feels the same when im playing offline or online. Have test different cables and use two different routers.

btw guys this mirco stuttering i was getting was also on my old rig (I7 930 oc 4.0ghz and also tried stock setting too).

The only thing that wasn't new from this sandy bridge build was GTX 580s , hard drive and memory. But i have already test the memory with another pair and it was the same.

Idk how this Stuttering could have move on to the new rig. I also Formatted when i got my new build which was 2 weeks ago.

EDIT: Ill put my DPC results up when i get home from work

Well your thread does worry me a bit because I'm going 580 SLI soon but I've never ever heard of this from other 580 SLI users so I definitely think it's your hard drive which could be a big bottleneck in your system. Solid state man get with the times!
