Best Value: MSI GTX 560ti vs Asus GTX 560ti

I have been looking at the Asus GTX 560ti that is overclocked to 900ghz and MSI's GTX 560ti Hawk. I plan on buying another card in the future for SLI. What is my best option?

$35 difference? Go with the Asus. The hawk is slightly better, but not $35 better.

Hawk is the better card, clocked faster than the Asus card, has amazing potential to OC, amazing life-span, superior cooling, 3 year warranty since it was just released, ect..

The Hawk basically offers 570 performance even with no user-end OC.

Whether or not it's worth $35 more is for you to decide, but, it's worth it to most people.

I was going to get the MSI TFII but the Hawk came out and the choice was obvious.

Asus is a great company, since this version of card isn't three slot either would do just great really. Personally I'd go MSI GTX 560ti Hawk but not because it's better, but preference.

If you have an MSI mobo go MSI if you have a Asus mobo go Asus gpu. You don't have your bio specs listed btw.

Cant go wrong with either. The Asus has better vrm's. And it can OC just as well, but it's a little louder and few degrees higher. People reach 950mhz-1ghz on the core easily with voltages increase of course. I run 950mhz 24/7 at 1025 volts @ 63c load temps. I don't think its worth it for 2 extra fps and higher temps at 1ghz

I chose the Asus cause it was $40 difference for me at the time. Very satisfied with my decision. But if both were same price I'd prob go with the MSI Hawk the very slightly lower noise fan and cooler temp.

Humm...

Ok, read all the reviews and it'll tell you that the MSI cooling is better.

WTH? references please? You might refer to GTX570 stories, but regarding the 560Tis, dunno what you're talking about!

This one got me a good laugh. Reasoning behind that please? Other than matching names?

Seriously, both cards are nice, but the HAWK is better. It is a higher end card. Is the $34 extra worth it? Well, how long are you planing to keep the card?

MSI has the better cooler, with more heatpipes...it also performs more...worthy of $35 extra bucks over a few years lifespan? YES I think....

I plan on keeping this for a few years at least because I plan on purchasing another card for sli hopefully within a year depending on my funds. I have never really overclocked any computer parts in my life but I want to be able to so I can increase my performance.

If you plan on keeping the card for a few years, perhaps you should at least consider the Palit 560 Ti with 2GB of VRAM.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-099-_-Product

I know that Palit isn't as "robust" a name as Asus or MSI, and it does cost a little bit more, but the extra memory may help down the road.
