800D - First WC build - Advice? - Page 2

In case you don't want to mod, you can have an RX360 along with another small 120mm rad such as the RS120, and keep it all inside the case.

Otherwise, get a 480 on top and 240 on bottom by modding.

Read this: http://www.overclock.net/water-cooli...-dual-bay.html

Your res/pump combo might not even fit inside your case and might require some modding.

I would recommend doing exactly what YOU want to do. I bought my first kit about a month ago. Since then, I haven't stopped replacing and upgrading parts. Most of which, I wanted to do at first, but was too scared to try on my first build.

My advice is do exactly what you want and don't be scared to try modding, IF that gets you what you want. Good luck. WCing and Modding is worse than crack. Be warned.

if you are going all out, then get a 480 in the top, 240 in the bottom, and get an EK HF supreme block for ur CPU

Hmm. I don't like the sound of spending so little on a CPU block. I was looking at ek blocks, the expensive ones lol.

Think I will. Just need to find a tutorial on modding the top of the case. Something to just check so I don't do it wrong.

another 800d? why not something else, like xigmatek elysium (it can fit quad radiator in front, 360/420 rad on top and much more!!) or bit older atcs 840.

The 800D is the perfect balance between aesthetics and usability. Although it does require modding to make it better for water cooling.
but its getting so common in watercooling as cm elite cases or rosewills for typical home pc. acts 840 is also very well known for being watercooling friendly, and also got aesthetic design. i admit, xigmatek is bit more funky .

It's really dead simple with a 480 grill.
