Pretty much the same as the bottom lol.

Do you think an alpha cool mcp655 pump is powerful and reliable?

For 800D modding info check out the OCN official 650/700/800 D club

A 480 will fit but you will loose the use of the top 5.25 drive bay

A 480 rad. will fit in the top with ether major but easy mod or a simple and easy mod

1. you can cut out the top to fit a 480 using a 480 rad. grill as a template

2. you can cut out the scallops at the front so that the forward fan can breath with out cutting out the top

with the last method you would mount the 480 just like you would a 360 after mounting the front (fourth) fan.

As for mounting the 240 in the bottom you will have to remove the lower drive bay
then decide if you want to mount the rad. flat (horiz.) or laid on its side with the fans pulling air through a couple holes in the side panel.

CPU block, My vote is for EK Sup. HF copper, stay away from EK Nickle plated products
or the XSPC Rasa block is supposed to be pretty good as well

Which is better then, the full nickel blocks or full copper. Would copper degrade over time?
Ek is experiencing some problems with the Nickle coming off and corrosion all do to poor plating, this has been documented by an out side source who did a thorough inspection
of the block with a microscope before and after an electrolysis test was performed.

Copper will not corrode if you do not have Aluminum or steel in your system

Run distilled water with ether a silver Killcoil or PTnuk

Stay away from dyes

On a side note other manufactures offer Nickle plated blocks that do not suffer from the problems that people are having with the EK blocks

(Edit)
EK's statement on Nickle plating failures

I'm also getting the 800D and attempting my first WC build. Will an RX360 kit and an RX120 suffice for an i7 2600k and 2x 6970s or am I pushing it too far? I've read multiple times on the site that the RX kit pump would suffice for the CPU/2xGPU combo, but I cant seem to find a straight answer.

The rule of thumb is 1 to 1 1/2 120mm of radiator per waterblock. 3 blocks = at least a 360, preferably 480mm of rad. If you're gonna do a 360+120, I'd highly suggest you instead get a 480 in the top. It will be the same or better cooling and will maximize the space inside the case. Also the cost will be will be the same either way.

Unfortunately I dont really have the tools atm for modding my 800D, even if it doesn't maximize space as well, the RX360 + RX120 combo should provide adequate cooling, right?

if not try adding a second RX120 or a Blackice SR1-140

Run your loop like this
Pump -> 360 RAD. -> CPU block -> 120 RAD. -> Video card blocks -> res.
