Suggestions on how to cut a 250mm hole

Thread Starter
I was just wondering if anyone can suggest how I would go about cutting out the 250mm hole required to mount this into my new Cooler Master Haf 932 Black Editions side window? I am just being cautious as I don't want to mess up my new tower.
Thanks

You need a 1/2" drill and a hole saw.

Hole Saw, Router with jig (I think that's what it's called?) or Dremel (last resort).
Listed in order of easiest and nicest outcome. You may want to get a Fan grill for it after as well.

hole saws that big are extremely hard to come by (under 100$ anyways)

unfourtunately cutting holes into the acrylic may cause it to crack and chip.

it may turn into a difficult process.

Going to be one heck of a big hole saw. It's close to 10 inches. If you were putting in a metal side panel I would just suggest using a dremal but I'm not sure how well they work on plexi/acrylic. You could give this kit a try or if you have a 300 series dremal just get this attachment.

You'll probably want to Dremel/jigsaw something that large.
a 25cm hole saw very uncommon at a local hardware store

if you had a compass (like from math class) or a 25cm ice cream container...., make a circle of 12.5cm radius, cover that circle with tape on both sides of the window, redraw the circle on the tape

and then use a small drill bit, like 1/16" or 1/32", to drill a ton of holes around the circle

(EDIT: OR probably even easier, use a bigger drill bit like 1/4", just keep its whole diameter just inside the circle, then a dremel would have an even easier time)

and then that would make a dremel type cutter wheel have a much easier time of cutting a circle

then do your best to smooth it out and sand it as smooth and round as you need

thats what I would do today since I only have tape, compass, dremel

The most economical would be to use the Dremel circle cutting attachment mentioned earlier; when used with a spiral (sideways) bit it works pretty well in sheet metal or acrylic, though in the acrylic the surface will be fairly rough (compared to using a hole saw) and you'll have to sand/polish it quite a bit to get a gloss shine to it.

That would be the best/faster/cleanest way but not everyone has access to one or is willing to pay for it. But if you don't have any of the tool mentioned above it would be the cheapest and easiest way to do it.
